How Football Saved Me from My Water-Wasting Guilt?

How Football Saved Me from My Water-Wasting Guilt?

Have you ever done something so bad that you felt good about it? Something that goes against all the moral and ethical standards of society, but makes you laugh and feel alive?

Well, I have. And I’m going to tell you what it is, why I do it, and how it relates to my passion for football.

How Wasting Water Makes Me Happy and Why It Should Make You Happy Too?

The thing that I do, that I think is so objectionable for humanity, is that I waste water. Yes, you heard me right. I waste water like there’s no tomorrow. I leave the tap running when I brush my teeth, I take long showers, I wash my car every day, I water my lawn even when it rains.

Why do I do it? Because it feels good. Because it makes me feel powerful and rebellious. Because it annoys the hell out of those environmentalists who are always nagging me about saving the planet. And because it reminds me of football.

You may be wondering how wasting water has anything to do with football. Well, let me explain. Football is my life. It’s the only thing that makes sense to me in this crazy world. It’s the only thing that gives me joy and excitement. And it’s the only thing that helps me deal with the guilt and shame of wasting water.

Because when I watch a football match, I forget about everything else. I forget about the droughts, the floods, the wars, the poverty, the injustice. I forget about the fact that I’m doing something so objectionable for humanity. I just focus on the game, the players, the goals, the cheers, the thrill. And I feel alive.

Football is also a way for me to express my personality and my values. I love football because it is a game of skill, strategy, and creativity. It is a game where you can show your individuality and your flair. It is a game where you can challenge yourself and your opponents. It is a game where you can break the rules and get away with it. It is a game where you can waste resources and still win.

Think about it. How many times have you seen a football player waste time by kicking the ball out of play, or by faking an injury, or by arguing with the referee? How many times have you seen a football team waste money by buying expensive players, or by paying huge salaries, or by building lavish stadiums?

How many times have you seen a football fan waste energy by cheering, or by singing, or by traveling to watch a match? How many times have you seen a football match waste water by using sprinklers, or by having showers, or by drinking bottles? All these things are examples of wasting resources, but they are also examples of enjoying football. And that’s what I do. I waste water, but I also enjoy football.

You see, football is my life.

So, what do you think? Do you agree with me? Do you have your own objectionable thing that you do? Or do you think I’m crazy and need to stop? Let me know in the comments below. And remember, don’t judge me. Because you never know, maybe one day, you’ll find yourself doing something objectionable too.
